about.

Hello, my name is Ashlyn Hars.

I double-majored in Photography and Illustration Design and Creative Advertising and Graphic Design at Curtin University in Bentley, Western Australia. Travelling has always been a huge part of my life, travelling with family as a child and then travelling around Europe on a solo expedition enhanced my love for travel and travel photography.

In high school I always loved using a digital medium to create my works and make them different in someway, either aesthetically or with method. This passion was furthered in university with the exploration of Graphic Design and many techniques and styles that formed the visual tone of my work. The style in my Graphic Design work very much continues through to my Photography work.

Balancing university assignment work with personal design projects allowed me to develop this style within different realms. My love for art lead to the creation of handcrafted elements within designs.

With work being exhibited in exhibitions in Western Australia, including the Year 12 Perspectives at the Art Gallery of WA as well Autoluminescent at Perth Centre of Photography I have been lucky to experience a wide variety of the ways art practice can be experienced.
